GREEK BOARD OF AIRLINES REPRESENTATIVES (B.A.R. GREECE) ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD COMPOSITION

 

Athens, Greece – The Greek Board of Airlines Representatives (B.A.R. Greece) has announced its post-covid reactivation after the elections of the new board at an extraordinary General Assembly on 19th January 2023 at Sofitel Airport Hotel.

 

The new board was formed as follows:

 

Chairman: Stephanos Sadopoulos (AEGEAN AIRLINES)

Vice Chairman: Ioannis Pantazopoulos (AIR FRANCE/KLM)

General Secretary: Alexandros Averkiadis (SAS)

Treasurer: Alexandros Michalopoulos (SkyExpress)

Member: Manolis Anastasiou (Emirates)

 

 

The key objective of the new board will be to strengthen more our position in the industry and vocalize our work and merit with a strong common voice. It is crucial for the airlines in Greece, tourism industry bodies and government, to work together to ensure the sustained development of the industry in the post-Covid era. The Greek Tourism industry, a cornerstone of the country's economy, is poised for a strong recovery in the post-Covid era, and the airline sector will play a crucial role in driving this growth. With the Greek islands being a major tourist destination, the airlines provide the vital link between travelers and the breathtaking beauty of Greece. The aviation industry will continue to be a key player in the revival of the country's tourism, enabling tourists to experience the rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and exceptional hospitality that Greece is renowned for. With an emphasis on safety, airlines in Greece are set to take center stage in the effort to support the tourism sector, providing a secure and convenient mode of transportation for tourists.
